is Easy
Green ?
Cabkan® Easy
Green is a newly developed
system for efficient grassing and fortifying of areas. As this fortifying system warrants natural
draining, it is the ideal alternative to sealing the soil with artificial draining
systems.

The Grid
Element
The Cabkan® Easy Green-Element is grid-shaped:
the lower surface with broad webs provides higher load capacity. The upper
surface with narrow webs provides more green and a natural view.
The special feature of Cabkan® Easy Green
is the connection by groove and tongue. On the one hand, this connection
is so flexible that it even resists a frost heave with consequent subsidence.
On the other hand, it is so stable that it can be installed even without
substructure.
If there
is no substructure, it has the advantage that the lawn can root deeply
so that the cover is fortified additionally.
With Cabkan®
Easy Green you can create maintenance-free park areas, which are
greened for the first time, even in hot summer periods, as there is no
laborious preparation of the substructure.

Installation
Instructions
Cabkan® Easy
Green can be installed easily and fast.
Put the broad
surface of Easy Green face down, so it lies optimally, the load capacity
is increased and the greening improved.
With Cabkan®
Easy Green loose or composite installation is possible. With composite
installation Easy Green obtains a better support.
If Cabkan®
Easy Green shall not be greened, Cabkan® Easy Green can be filled with
gravel, stone chippings or sand.

Installation
on Parking Areas with Car Load
On existing
Lawns or on Surface Soil:
- Place kerbstones
to fortify outer edges.
- When installing
on lawns: mow lawn short, equalize unevenness with sand or stone chippings
2/5 -5/8 mm.
- When installing
on surface soil: flatten area, add equalizing layer of 1-2 cm of sand or stone
chippings 2/5-5/8 mm.
- In case of
composite installation place Cabkan® Easy Green with grid side face up and
the broad support surface face down.
- In case no
concrete kerbstone was placed, fortify each Easy Green in the outer row by
an iron armouring of 20 mm diameter, 30-50 cm long.
- Shake and fill
evenly with loose surface soil. Water the area (wash-in). The surface soil
shall lie 1-2 cm below the upper edge of the Easy Green so that the turf is
not damaged by car tyres.
- Sow the area
and water again.
The lawn can be
driven on immediately after installing the Easy Green

Installation
on Areas with Camper Van Load of up to 7 t
- Place
kerbstones to fortify outer edges.
- Shake
and roll surface soil and area.
- If the
ground is very soft, put on additional road construction fabrics or
groundcover.
- Put on
compensating layer and sub-base of 2-5 cm of 8/16 mm stone chippings
mixed with humus soil.
- Place
CABKAN® Easy Green in composite installation with grid side face up
and the broad support surface face down. Thus higher load capacity is
given. Walking barefooted after greening is warranted as well.
- In case
no concrete kerbstone was placed, fortify each slab in the outer row
by an iron armouring of 20 mm diameter, 30-50 cm long, depending on
the ground soil.
- Shake
and fill evenly with loose surface soil almost up to the upper edge
of the grid and water the area (wash-in).
- Sow the
area and water again.

Profile
of substructure and Easy Green
Installation
for Fire Brigade Approaches
- Take off of
upper soil.
- Latten, shake
and roll area, in particular in case of new fillings.
- Put on Aquatex/groundcover/fabrics.
- Put on a layer
of 8 cm of 8/16 rubble in broken granulation.
- Flatten, shake
and roll
- Put on a layer
of 3-4 cm of surface soil and roll.
- Put on slabs
with broad support surface face down
- Fix every third
slab at the outer edge with armouring iron made of corrugated constructional
steel, 20 mm diameter and 50 cm length.
- Shake and fill
with humus soil without any parts of clay, wash in, so that the turf finally
is 1-2 cm below the upper edge of the Easy Green.
- Sow area. With
this way of installation the greening is guaranteed and free of maintenance.
The composite installation has to be performed alongside to the driveway -
not traverse.
Substructure
for Brigade approaches:
Please
generally observe when installing:
- Cabkan ® Easy
Green is installed row by row with the broad support face down.
- Install first
row with a cord and position Easy Green in a way that the groove is free on
two sides and that the tongue of the following Easy Green can be manually
pushed into the groove.
- In case no
concrete kerbstone was placed, fortify each slab in the outer row by an iron
armouring of 20 mm diameter, 30-50 cm long.
- A maintenance-free
greening is possible only, if the turf remains untouched, thus the surface
soil shall be filled in only up to 1-2 cm below the upper edge of the grid.
- Measuring and
colour tolerances cannot be avoided with recycled plastic products
- Installation
tolerances will not be visible anymore 1-2 months after greening.
